Artha Platform
The Artha Platform is the initiative of a single family office and impact investor focused on India, and aims to accelerate the flow of capital to sustainable enterprises operating at the base of the pyramid (BOP). It seeks to contribute to a network of social investors and stakeholders interested in collaborating on impact investment deal flow in India. The Platform is an investor-facing, by invitation-only portal designed to provide an online collaboration tool for due diligence among investors, while providing a foundation from which entrepreneur support organizations (umbrella organizations and incubators) and third parties (ground-level, in-country intermediaries) may maximize their exposure to funders. The platform also profiles best practices in social business in India and creates awareness around outstanding social enterprises, while focused on reducing the transaction costs of conducting diligence around project pipelines that are frequently difficult and costly to manage from outside the country.
Artic Holdings is an early stage venture incubator and accelerator with focus on social and sustainable businesses. The flagship program is the Brightest Young Leaders platform, which started in 2010 as Brightest Young climate leaders and is being re–launched as Brightest Young Sustainable Leaders 2011–12. It aims to identify projects where innovation could be in the form of a process or an application or product. New Ventures (NV) is the World Resources Institute′s center for environmental entrepreneurship – providing business development services to environmentally–focused small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in emerging markets. National Social Entrepreneurship Forum (NSEF)
National Social Entrepreneurship Forum is India’s premier youth platform for social innovations, bridging the talent inequity in the social sector and foster ecosystems where social change catalysts are supported. Since inception, NSEF has undertaken social entrepreneurial activities in several academic institutes and cities; helped social enterprises to address their challenges by connecting them to talent equipped with right skills and mindsets and has created a multiplier effect by supporting young social entrepreneurs.
Start Up is an angel investor, incubator and consultant to social entrepreneurs. They launch, strengthen, and scale social ventures. As angel investors, they invest non-financial resources (i.e. time, expertise and networks) to incubate seed and early stage social enterprises.
