Ennovent, through Matanataki, is supporting the management buy-out of Waste Recyclers Fiji, an autonomous private company focused on the collection, sorting, processing and export of recyclables from Fiji.   Matanataki, with financial support from Pacific RISE, is supporting Waste Recyclers to implement a viable business model for its growth strategy and to negotiate and structure a buyout deal with an impact investor in 2021.   Through this support, Waste Recyclers will be able to raise investments to support the expansion of its business through the implementation of its growth strategies in recycling and upcycling.   Read more about the project...

Ennovent through the Impact Investment Holding, invested in Hasiru Dala Innovations (‘HDI’) – who offer waste management services for events, municipalities and office buildings, together with waste-to-value facilities. Besides making waste management eco friendly, HDI works towards improving wastepickers’ livelihoods and working conditions.   The follow-on investment in HDI aims to support the company to tide through the global pandemic, and grow its total waste management business in the residential sector. Under the Sanitation Innovation Accelerator, IRC, Taru & Ennovent accelerated Garv Toilets, a company offering end-to-end sanitation solutions, which are eco-friendly and self-sustainable in terms of energy-usage and waste disposal.   Garv was selected for capacity building from 50 business solutions that were crowdsourced through a nationwide search, as part of the Sanitation Innovation Accelerator 2016. Ennovent, as a partner to the Shujog-ACTS Programme, provided capacity-building assistance to Ayusha Dairy, a company providing value-added services that aim to improve the quality and price of milk in south India.   Through the tailored mentoring engagement, Ayusha was able to develop and refine its business plan and financial model. Ennovent, as a partner to the Shujog-ACTS Programme, provided capacity-building assistance to Fibroin Weave, who works directly with weaver and artisan communities in India to improve their livelihoods.   Ennovent enabled Fibroin Weave to approach prospective investors and raise investment capital. A tailored mentorship engagement was designed to develop a robust business plan, and create a financial model showing historical as well as future projections for P&L and cash flow.   Ennovent also supported Fibroin Weave with the negotiation of draft investment terms and company valuation, and the development of an investor pitch and presentation deck.

Thank you for your interest in Ennovent! We closed down Ennovent’s operations at the end of March 2024.

 

We had been deliberating about continuing our work in the changing overall market and impact space during the last year. The decision to close came after careful consideration of major policy shifts, changing funding priorities and market challenges that have significantly affected our business model.

 

Reflecting on our journey since 2008, we are filled with great pride in the legacy Ennovent leaves behind. We have been a catalyst for more than 250 ventures across 40 countries through our involvement in 90 projects. Our mission has always been to promote businesses with sustainable solutions for low-income markets, a goal that we pursued with unwavering commitment. As we move forward, our team members remain dedicated to pursuing lasting sustainable impact through their future endeavours.
